Push-on “Tyton” Joint Ductile Iron Pipe (Drinking water application)

One of the most common types of joint used for ductile iron pipes is Push-on (Tyton) joint, which could be easily and quickly assembled. This joint is comprised of a rubber gasket of a particular material and design that sits inside a socket on a pipe so that the next pipe’s spigot could by pressure fit into that socket and get assembled and sealed at the same time. These rubber gaskets are made of EPDM in correspondence with ISO 4633.
